The Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre will be without emergency services twice over the next couple of days.

Central Health says the temporary measure is due to a shortage of staff.

ER services at the centre are shut down as of 4 p.m. Sunday until 8 a.m. Monday, and again from 2 p.m. Monday until 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Anyone with an emergency during those periods should call 911 or go to the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor.

Central Health reiterated it’s working hard on staff recruitment and apologized for the emergency services downtime.
