The province’s privacy commissioner is recommending the City of St. John’s release additional information on a review of a project.

Michael Harvey has released a report on an access to information request for records regarding a review and approval of a city project.

The city provided records to the complainant, but withheld some information claiming local public body confidences, policy advice and legal advice, and disclosure harmful to the financial or economic interests of a third party, disclosure harmful to personal privacy.

During the investigation, the city agreed to release additional information.

Harvey is recommending the city follow through with releasing the information while continuing to withhold the remaining redacted information.
