The province begins expanded vaccinations for the monkeypox virus today.
The vaccine Imvamune is being made available to more people considered high risk.
That includes the two-spirit, transgender, gay, bisexual, and queer communities, men who have sex with men, and their close contacts.
But health officials note anyone can potentially become infected.
People who show up for the monkeypox vaccine will not be asked how or why they are eligible for it.
Information on monkeypox, precautions, symptoms, and treatment is available on the government’s website or by calling 811.
There are two probable cases of monkeypox in the province.
