We have a situation with testing results in Central Health which affects numerous patients.

The health authority is reviewing mammography results for patients to identify possible diagnostic discrepancies. Some viewing workstations used for digital review did not meet the recommended technical standard for the review of mammography images.

Central Health is going to provide a formal update at about 1:30 p.m. tomorrow. Following that update, the agency will notify by letter all patients whose images are being reviewed and will contact any impacted patients by telephone and letter to outline the next steps.

Central Health has advised the Provincial Government that it is reviewing mammography results for patients of Central Health to identify possible diagnostic discrepancies.
