The actor who plays Mark Critch’s older brother on Son of a Critch got a chance to see his character’s workplace during a break from shooting.
Colton Gobbo plays Mike Critch Junior, otherwise known as K-ROCK’s Mike Campbell.
21-year-old Gobbo, of Sudbury, Ontario, says prior to shooting on Son of a Critch, his introduction to Newfoundland was on the province’s south coast.
It being #NationalRadioDay It was great hanging with @coltosaur last night. He plays me on @SonOfACritchTV Will he end up in radio? We will have to wait and see … pic.twitter.com/Yfr19z2y3E

His brother owns a house in Boxey on the Connaigre Peninsula, and he hadn’t visited St. John’s until he got the part.
Gobbo says his family is planning a visit to St. John’s and he can’t wait to show them around.
Son of a Critch is set in the 1980s when Mike and Mark’s father, Mike Senior, was a respected veteran working in the VOCM Newsroom, but they’re now getting to the point in time when Campbell started his own radio career.
Shooting on season two is wrapping up now and the question is whether Mike, played by Gobbo, will start working in radio like his character’s father.
