A caribou hunter who became disoriented in heavy fog was found by searchers with the Exploits Valley Search and Rescue team.
The team members were called out to the Gaff Topsails area of central Newfoundland on Sunday. Team members were able to get a ping from the missing hunter’s cell phone and managed to get an approximate location.
According to a Facebook post, team members were able to lead the hunter back to safety through fog, strong winds and rain.
