The provincial government has expanded the RFP process in an effort to sell off Marble Mountain.
A Request for Proposals has been issued to help guide Marble Mountain to become a year-round recreational facility, and more attractive to a larger number of potential investors.
Marble Mountain was among a number of provincial government assets which were the subject of a recent $5 million review by Rothschild’s.
The RFP will seek professional guidance on recommended upgrades and additions to allow year-round operations and position the resort for prospective new owners.
The province is hoping to broaden the potential pool of investors, compared to a previous RFP, which only saw three proposals brought forward. It will also help to vet prospective buyers against an in-depth analysis and a credible four-season, year-round development plan.
