The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has shut down what they’re calling a street-level drug trafficking operation, resulting in the seizure of a significant amount of drugs and cash.
Last Thursday, a man and a woman in St. John’s were arrested in relation to the situation, but they were later released pending further investigation.
The Constabulary says 173 Ritalin pills, 49 Dilaudid pills, 15 grams of cocaine, 7 blots of LSD, a weigh scale, and approximately $24,000 cash were seized.
They say such criminal networks are focused solely on profit, with a “total disregard” for the safety of those impacted by the activity.
If using illicit drugs, police are urging people to have a naloxone kit nearby.
Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
