The King and his Queen Consort, Camilla, send their “profound sympathy” to the people of Atlantic Canada whose lives, livelihoods and properties have been so badly affected by the disaster.

In the meantime, members of the 1st and 2nd Battalions of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment have arrived in the region to help with the cleanup and rebuilding.
As Honorary Colonel of the #RoyalNewfoundlandRegiment I have no doubt the presence of the 1st & 2nd Battalions on the sw coast of NL will be helpful in dealing w/the untold devastation caused by #hurricanefiona, but also comforting for those living through such a tragic ordeal. https://t.co/xa9dbsNcy5
