All COVID-related travel restrictions are being dropped as of today, and according to CAA Atlantic, a lot of travelers breathing a sigh of relief.
The lifting of restrictions means that people will no longer be required to wear a mask, show proof of vaccination, or use the ArriveCAN app.
Steve Olmstead, Director of Public and Government Affairs with CAA Atlantic, says it will be interesting to see if there’s any sort of spike in travel now that restrictions are no longer in effect.
For those who travel a lot, he believes this will be “less administration” for them to deal with. He says for some this is a “significant” change, but he notes that people can still wear a mask and bring along their proof of vaccination if they so choose.
