Provincial Airlines is partnering with the SPCA to raise money and provide new homes for eight puppies.
The airline has been providing the SPCA in St. John’s with free transportation of dogs from Labrador for the past two years.
PAL has flown in 50 rescue dogs so far this year, including a husky mix dog named Nala, who was pregnant at the time of her rescue.
This weekend during PAL’s annual kite festival, eight of Nala’s puppies will be up for adoption.
The public is able to meet the puppies this afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bowring Park. Adoption forms will only be accepted in person at that time.
Along with the adoption event, a number of activities are planned for tomorrow’s Kite Festival including kite flying, games and bouncy castles, food and prizes.
The PAL Kite Festival gets underway from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
