Mother Nature is certainly cooperating in Port aux Basques today as volunteers gather for a community cleanup.

Many personal belongings have already been recovered from the hurricane-ravaged area. Mayor Brian Button says pictures and other memorabilia collected since the hurricane were placed in totes, some of which are being stored in a temperature-controlled area.

At some point, the items will be taken to a place yet to be determined where they will be laid out for owners to collect.

Some people involved in the cleanup may have come across items that belong to them but items collected by the town are in safe keeping.
