The provincial government is seeking information from the public about parts of a moose dumped in the area of Wabush.
Provincial resource enforcement officers were alerted to the incident by a member of the public.
They found a full quarter of moose and other moose parts dumped in an area about 3 km east of the town on Wabush Mountain Road.
It is believed the animal was discarded sometime between September 15 and September 25.
Officials say it is illegal to willfully or intentionally allow wild meat that has been killed for food to be destroyed, wasted or spoiled.
