Flu shot clinics across Newfoundland and Labrador are set to begin on Monday.
According to the provincial government, all shots will be given free of charge.
The clinics will be hosted by the Regional Health Authorities. Appointments can now be booked, and walk-ins at some locations will be available in the coming weeks as well.
In addition to the clinics, the RHAs will be giving shots to those in personal, long-term care, and correctional facilities, patients in acute care clinics, and patients in mental health and addictions treatment settings.
People can also get their shot through a family physician or their local pharmacy. Physicians can administer the vaccine to everyone, regardless of age, while pharmacists can give it to anyone age five and older.
People getting the shot should bring their MCP card and wear short sleeves.
Appointments for the clinics can be booked through the Time for the Shot website, or by calling 1-833-951-3904.
