Three of the province’s health authorities have completed reviewing mammography images prompted by revelations that not all mammograms conducted over the last few years were viewed with the best technology.
More than 10,000 images were identified for review under Eastern Health, Western Health and Labrador-Grenfell Health, resulting in 38 patients who required further assessment.
The issue was first identified through Central Health which conducted its own review.
The affected patients have been contacted for follow-up.
