Police nabbed a pair of impaired drivers in Clarenville over the weekend.
Shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, police hauled a car over on Memorial Drive in the town. The 50-year-old driver appeared to be drunk and failed a roadside breath test. He was arrested and taken back to the detachment, where he blew over the legal limit. His licence was suspended and the vehicle impounded.
The next day around 1 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspected drunk driver at a fast food restaurant. Police found the vehicle and pulled it over. The 67-year-old driver refused to provide breath samples. Her vehicle was also impounded and her licence was suspended.
Both drivers were released to appear in court at a later date.
