The province is exploring potential cost-sharing options with the federal government to get the Team Gushue Highway completed.
An extension of the highway, which goes to Topsail Road, was officially opened in the latter half of 2018. However, work to finish the remaining stretch of the highway has been stalled since then.
PC MHA Loyola O’Driscoll questioned Transportation Minister Elvis Loveless about work to complete the highway in the House of Assembly.
Loveless says they do not have the money to complete the project on their own. He says they are exploring options with the federal government and are hoping to cost-share the project.
