Newfoundland and Labrador Housing has over 270 units that are, or soon will be, move-in ready for tenants this year.
The minister responsible, John Abbott, was responding to questions from NDP leader Jim Dinn, who asked if government will have all NL Housing units that are vacant due to needed repairs, ready to go by the end of the year. Abbott says they have roughly 272 units that are either move-in ready or soon will be.
Other units are undergoing repairs.
Abbott says they have approximately 34 units that are being repaired, and while not all of those will be done by the end of the year, most will be done by the middle of next year.
