The number of electric vehicles in this province is increasing, but according to one expert, Newfoundland and Labrador is still behind.
Jon Seary, Co-Founder of Drive Electric NL, says the number of electric vehicles on the road is slowly growing in comparison to other provinces.
He says there are a number of contributing factors from manufacturers to municipalities.
Seary says local dealerships need to “get on board” if they haven’t already. He also says manufacturers need to allocate more EV inventory to the province—something that will soon be mandated by the federal government.
Seary believes the most important key to the growth of electric vehicles comes down to municipalities providing charging stations for residents and visitors.
