The Newfoundland Growlers began the season in fine style with six out of a possible six points at Mary Brown’s Centre.
They scored five times in the opening period yesterday afternoon for a 6 to 2 victory. The Growlers won 4 to 2 Friday night and needed overtime Saturday to put away the Reading Royals, taking them 4 to 3.
The team hits the road this weekend.
