The results of Participaction’s 2022 Children and Youth Report Card should serve as a reminder that coming out of the pandemic there is a need to prioritize physical activity in children.
That’s according to professor of human kinetics and recreation at MUN, TA Loeffler.
She prefers to look at report cards as a point of reflection.
While Loeffler says the report indicates two areas that have seen decreased performance, there have been some improvements.
Such as an increase in active transportation, which includes things such as walking to work or school. She says active transportation is an easy way to sneak physical activity into your life.
