The NL English School District is hosting some Indigenous artists from Northern British Columbia to host music workshops to students in Gander, Bay Roberts and Holy Heart High in St. John’s.

Shannon Thunderbird and Kate Dickson are part of a concert at Holy Heart tonight celebrating Indigenous culture, singing and drumming. The show will feature Eastern Owl, Deantha Edmonds, the Holy Heart chamber choir and performances by Thunderbird and Dickson.

Thunderbird says they’ve been spreading knowledge through music.

She says what they do is very interactive, with call and response performances that include the audience.

The show takes place this evening at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Heart in St. John’s.
