RCMP have recovered a large number of various bottles of high-end perfumes as part of their ongoing investigation into thefts from a number of Shoppers Drug Marts across the island.

RCMP conducted a search of a vehicle used by a pair who were arrested and charged last week on the Marine Atlantic Ferry docked at Port aux Basques.

Twenty-nine-year-old Cristines Bacelan and 24-year-old Elisabeta Cimpina, both from Romania, were arrested on October 25. Police have charged the pair with three counts of theft over $5,000 and two counts of theft under $5,000.

The two accused are scheduled to appear in Gander court on Wednesday.
