Braya Renewable Fuels, which is converting the Come By Chance refinery into a producer of renewable fuels, has issued a Request for Proposal for the provision of green hydrogen as a feedstock for its operations.
The company is also looking at the possibility of exporting green ammonia for local, regional and international markets.
Braya says the production of renewable diesel requires substantial amounts of hydrogen every year. The company previously had access to hydrogen created from natural gas or methane, also known as “grey” hydrogen.
The company says it is interested in producing the lowest carbon intensity rating possible by acquiring green hydrogen to support its operations.
