While most fuel prices across the province dropped today more increases could be on the horizon.
That’s according to Dan McTeague, gas analyst and president of Canadians for Affordable Energy.
Gas went down by two and a half cents per litre overnight, and diesel dipped by four cents. However, as McTeague explains some seasonal factors may drive prices up moving forward.
That will be caused by the colder weather as well as the rally on futures markets for energy, says McTeague. However, he notes that price interventions could happen by the PUB, pointing to two such instances in the last week.
