The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board is reporting five successful bids in the 2022 offshore call.
The five successful bids received total over $238,075,321.
Energy NL says it is encouraged by the results, particularly because BP Canada, a relatively new entrant to the Newfoundland offshore, has signalled its continued interst with three joint bids and a sole bid.
Equinor also has three successful purchases, highlighting its interest in the area.
