The province has signed collective agreements with thirteen bargaining units represented by NAPE.
The agreements include a two per cent wage increase each year for four years, a one-time employee recognition bonus payment of $2,000 dollars, increases to travel on employer’s business provisions including meal allowances and reimbursements for vehicle use.
Other provisions include increases to protective clothing and uniform allowances, the formation of a committee to identify issues with recruitment and retention in all NAPE bargaining units, flexibility in statutory holidays, the addition of paid family violence leave and an increase in maternity, adoption and parental leave without pay to 78 weeks.
