A job fair is being held in St. John’s next week for newcomers from Ukraine and Afghanistan.
The event is being put off by Taskforce NL, the Association for New Canadians and the provincial government.
Courtney Rowsell of Taskforce NL says they will have interpreters on-site throughout the day to help both candidates and employers, noting the wealth of talent that will be there looking for employment.
She lists people with skills in construction, education, tourism, sales, the medical sector and more. She says they have a very broad set of skills.
The job fair is taking place on Monday at the Comfort Inn on Airport Road in St. John’s.
