Some pharmacies are experiencing technical issues today that are disrupting how prescriptions are filled.
Callers to VOCM News report being unable to refill certain drugs.
Signs in the windows of Sobeys in the metro area say the problem is linked to issues with system software.
They apologize for not being able to fill prescriptions at this time, but they say orders are still available for pickup.
There are also reports that the problem is affecting Lawtons drug stores as well. They are advising people with immediate need to visit other pharmacies but to have their MCP in hand.
Reports out of Nova Scotia suggest the same issues, that are believed to be nationwide.
There’s no word yet on when the problem will be fixed.
