RCMP are on the hunt for two suspects believed to be responsible for a home invasion in Carbonear last night.

Harbour Grace RCMP responded to a home on Water Street around 10:00 p.m. last night. Police say a woman responded to a knock at her door and was assaulted by two masked men.

The suspects entered the home and stole a quantity of prescription medications. The woman was able to escape the home and called for help.

Despite an extensive search of the area police were unable to locate the suspects. The incident is not believed to be random in nature and the investigation continues.
