The provincial government is giving an idea of some of the parcels of land being considered for wind development in the province.
Government has released maps of the western and eastern regions of the province highlighting lands being considered.
In the east, it looks as though a portion of the southern Avalon, including the Placentia area and the Burin Peninsula, are being considered.
The western region map shows land near Stephenville, Port aux Basques, Deer Lake, and Buchans as possible sites.
The Department of Industry, Energy and Technology is hosting a series of virtual information sessions in regard to the lands being considered.
The input will be used to inform decisions about the lands that may be made available for the competitive land bid process, which is expected to launch December 15.
The sessions are taking place next Monday and Tuesday, from 12 to 1:30 p.m.
Those wishing to participate are asked to register.
