The federal and provincial governments have announced funding for a pre-feasibility study into a road connecting communities on the North Coast of Labrador.
The road is expected to start in the Lake Melville region and extend as far north as Nain and Natuashish.
Torngat Mountains MHA Lela Evans has long advocated for a road on the North Coast.
Funding of $400,000 is being split between the federal and provincial governments through the National Trade Corridors Fund.
