Mother Nature is stirring things up out there today with higher-than-normal water levels in some areas until about lunchtime.
Strong northwesterly winds, combined with high tide, will result in crashing waves along some coastlines for the next few hours. Meteorologists don’t expect to see any damage from the high surf but there could be minor flooding.
Exposed areas such as the Outer Battery, Conception Bay and Trinity Bay will notice the pounding surf crashing the coastlines. Waves will reach a maximum of 6 metres.
