An industry analyst says the Public Utilities Board got it right when it dropped the price of diesel but it misfired when it increased the cost of gas this morning.
Gas went up by over 5 cents while diesel dropped by about 8 1/2 cents per litre.
Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy, says gas is falling everywhere in Canada except Newfoundland and Labrador. Take Ontario for example. He says the price dropped from $1.76 per litre to about $1.65.
He says the P.U.B. is costing Newfoundlanders and Labradorians an extra 5 or 6 cents a litre right now.
