Remembrance Day is a Shops Closing Day in Newfoundland and Labrador. That means most stores, and all municipal and provincial government offices are closed for the day.

Residents are urged to check with their municipalities to determine changes in garbage collection as all municipalities take the day off.

Shops determined to be essential, such as drug stores and gas stations, are open.
