One person suffered minor injuries during a Grand Falls-Windsor house fire early this morning.
Around 6:00 a.m., firefighters were called to a house fire on Monchy Road, where a blaze had broken out in an upstairs bedroom.
Weather conditions slowed the response of the crews, however Fire Chief Vince MacKenzie says they were able to control the blaze within six minutes of arrival.
The occupant of the home was injured while escaping and was sent to hospital, however their injuries are not believed to be serious.
