Premier Andrew Furey will join area MHA Andrew Parsons for a public information session today for Port aux Basques residents affected by Hurricane Fiona.
The session is scheduled for 5 p.m. at St. James Regional High in Port aux Basques.
The main focus of the gathering is to provide an update to residents on financial assessments on affected properties. Dozens of homes were either destroyed, are no longer safe, or cannot be reasonably repaired.
$30 million is available through the Hurricane Fiona Financial Assistance Program.
