Ferryland RCMP have charged two people in connection with a recent theft and robbery from a business in Mobile.
46-year-old James Lucas and 37-year-old Natasha Pearce were arrested with the help of RNC on November 11, and have been charged with multiple offences.
The charges stem from two separate incidents. Police say an employee was sprayed with bear spray on the evening of October 31, while attempting to prevent a man and woman from leaving the Rental Hutch in Mobile with unpaid merchandise.
The employee suffered minor injuries as a result.
Meanwhile, police say the pair was also identified in a theft that occurred at the same business in September.
Lucas is facing charges of robbery, theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a stolen licence plate, and failing to comply with probation and a release order. Pearce is charged with robbery, as well as being a passenger in a stolen vehicle, in addition to breaches.
The pair have been remanded to custody pending their next court appearance on November 28.
