The St. John’s Regional Fire Department made quick work of a fire at the Snack Shack in Bannerman Park this morning.
Acting Platoon Chief Ed Sears says the fire was outside the building which was closed at the time.
The fire had spread up into the roof area, but within minutes firefighters had knocked the blaze down.
Larry Daly of the Snack Shack is commending firefighters for their quick work. He says they expect to be open in December for the start of skating at The Loop.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
