An annual summit for new Canadians is taking place today.
The Association for New Canadians is holding its Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Anti-Racism Summit today in the capital city.
IDEAS 2022: Inspiring Creativity and Diversity will see many speakers and workshops.
ANC Coordinator for Diversity and Public Education, Debbie Brown, says the event helps new Canadians and immigration-based organizations to share experiences.
She says the summit is an opportunity for people to network, share their stories, and bring ideas on how to increase diversity in our businesses and communities.
The event is taking place throughout the day at the Emera Innovation Centre, with the awards ceremony kicking off at 12:30 p.m. It will be live-streamed on the organization’s YouTube channel.
