A Grand Falls-Windsor company has been charged with Occupational Health and Safety violations following a workplace incident that resulted in serious injuries to a worker two years ago.

The incident, in December 2020, involved a worker who was seriously injured in a fall at a construction site in Corner Brook.

Bluebird Investments Limited is facing eight charges including failure to provide a safe workplace and necessary equipment.

The company supervisor is also facing a single charge of failure to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all workers under their supervision.

The company’s first appearance is scheduled for November 29 at provincial court in Corner Brook.
