The Salvation Army has officially kicked off its 2022 Christmas Kettle Campaign.
The annual fundraising initiative helps to support various Salvation Army initiatives during the holiday season and throughout the entire year.
This year, they’re hoping to raise $800,000 dollars across the province.

One of the first to make a donation outside the Salvation Army headquarters in the Village Shopping Centre was Darlene Ford of the Hotel and Restaurant Workers Union Local 779.
Ford says they make a donation to the campaign every year.
She says the Salvation Army is always the first on the scene and everyone can count on them, which is why they donate every year.
