Canadian Blood Services is launching an initiative to boost donations during the winter months.

The Give 3 in 2023 program invites the public to donate blood, plasma and platelets in three different ways with donations taking place as soon as possible, throughout the holidays and into the new year.

Canadian Blood Services says there is a noticeable decrease in donations from November to February.

Currently, there are over 60,000 appointments that need to be filled by the end of 2022.

Anyone wishing to make a donation can make an appointment by visiting blood.ca, through the GiveBlood app, or by calling 1-88-236-6283.
