The provincial government is making it easier for hunters to access one of its mandatory hunting safety courses.

The Hunter Education Course which is required in order to obtain a license will now be available online for the public to complete on their own time and pace.

However, the Canadian Firearms Safety course, which is also required by law, is only being delivered through in-person sessions at various College of the North Atlantic campuses.

Those wishing to enroll in the courses must be 12 or older, with parental consent required for minors.
