The opposition is calling on government to provide more support to vulnerable people as the cost of living continues to increase.
Opposition Leader David Brazil says there has been a tremendous increase in demand for food banks, with the need for Salvation Army food hampers expected to double in comparison to 2021.
Brazil says a $500 dollar cheque is not the solution as it only provides short-term relief. He says it’s time for the Liberals to focus on poverty in the province and work towards a long-term solution.
