The Public Accounts Committee is requesting a written action plan from NL Hydro on recent recommendations made by the Auditor General.
Denise Hanrahan last week released her audit report on compensation and benefits paid out at Nalcor.
Hanrahan found that all 35 management and senior executive positions received significantly higher compensation than a comparable position in the public service—sometimes two-and-a-half times as much.
NL Hydro CEO Jennifer Williams says actions have been taken to reduce the number of executive positions, along with the elimination of executive vehicle allowances, reduced travel and other changes to salary scales.
The Public Accounts Committee wants a written action plan for each of the AG’s recommendations by the end of January 2023.
