The Department of Transportation confirms a recent incident involving a crew member working with the Bell Island ferry service.

Unconfirmed reports indicate a crew member fell overboard while one of the vessels was docked at Portugal Cove.

The department says the incident, which occurred on Sunday, is under investigation.
