A public celebration of life has been organized for Dr. Nizar Ladha, who passed away last week while vacationing in Egypt.

The long-time mental health advocate and forensic psychiatrist was an integral part of the psychiatric team at the Waterford Hospital, as well as Eastern Health.

Ladha also served as a Vice-Chair of the Advisory Council on Mental Health and Addictions for more than a decade.

A celebration of life takes place this Friday from The Rooms on Bonaventure Avenue from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. All family, friends and acquaintances are welcome.

Ladha is survived by his wife, Dr. Linda Inkpen and their three sons Justin, Michael and Jonathan.
