An 18-year-old man had his vehicle impounded earlier today after police pulled him over for excessive speeding near Middle Gull Pond.

According to the RCMP, the man, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was clocked at 166 km/h.

They say the man was driving with a suspended learner’s permit at the time.

In addition to losing his vehicle, the man was ticketed for excessive speeding and driving while suspended.
