An advance team is now in Begaluru, India to set up a provincial government nursing recruitment desk.
The province says the team, which includes the Executive Director of the College of Registered Nurses, will also be spending time in the cities of Mangalore, Manipal and Hyderabad.
A series of meetings were held at St. Martha’s College of Nursing, a training institute established in 1933. A presentation was made to 50 final-year nursing students about career opportunities in this province.
Yesterday, the team paid a visit to the East West Group of Institutions campus including a presentation to more than 100 final-year nursing students.
The province has also set up an email—WelcomingIndia@gov.nl.ca— to engage with nurses from India interested in coming to work in Newfoundland and Labrador.
